The reason for this will be obvious after such a mod is made, that the arms from the step can no longer rise up into the box if the step retracts after the entire box would be wrongly lowered. If you have this situation and you wish to deepen the battery compartment to hold a couple of the taller sweeper style higher aH batteries, be sure to have your welder only extend the center of the box and that would be where the two bent ends of the side to side step-width are lowered and not the entire area of the box itself. Here is one more thing to keep in mind if you have a coach like mine where the step's two raise/lower levers come up and into the battery compartment when the step is retracted )won't always be obvious if you do the work yourself and never withdraw the step to observe this happening). Here are some of those options as well (for the latter two listed below): These are in the group of SCRUBBER AND SWEEPER: And because of this "almost always", it is recommended to always check the actual size of the battery compartment and the size of batteries before ordering a new set of batteries." V-V-V-V-V-V-V-V-V-V-V-V-V-V-V-V-V-V-V-V-V-V And three are even more options if one alters the battery case to lower the bottom of it. However, in real life, many manufacturers label their batteries as 'GC2' batteries, although they are as tall as GC2H batteries - golf cart battery compartments and other similar battery compartments are "almost always" tall enough in order to accommodate GC2H batteries with some room left. Note: Groups GC2 and GC2H feature very similar physical dimensions as Groups GC8 and GC8H respectively, except that GC2 and GC2H batteries feature nominal voltage of 6V and GC8 and GC8H feature nominal voltage of 8V.Īs one can see, GC2 and GC2H batteries feature the same length and width, but the GC2H group is 1 inch (25.4 mm) taller than the GC2 group. Here is a blurb from : " BCI Group GC2 and Group GC2H Batteries Features and SpecificationsīCI Group GC2 and Group GC2H batteries are very similar batteries, differing practically only in dimensions (L x W x H): ![]() Duracel conventional 215aH - $97 Duracel enhanced EGC2 235aH - $135 **** IMPORTANT when buying: Another thing to consider is that the 255aH battery advertised is actually 1" higher than a regular golf cart battery and thus this may be a concern with installing them where regular GC2 (already taller than a 12V) may have fit before. Something happened to my previous post here but I was trying to say that SAMS club also offers the Duracel line and is great for those on a budget.

PS> get-help Select-String Help Search String In A File ![]() Help about Select-String can be get with the following command. In this tutorial we will look different use cases with examples of Select-String tool. Powershell provides Select-String commandlet to provide similar features and options the Linux grep tool provides. On the other side Windows operating systems generally lacks this tool and its functionality up to Powershell. This tool is popular amongst Linux system administrators. I hope you like this quick grep tip.Linux provides tool named grep for filter text data or output according to given string or regular expression. Recursive search in all files in all the subdirectories of dir Recursive search in all the files in all the subdirectories Searches in all the files in dir directory Searches in all the files in current directory Here's a quick summary of using grep search for multiple files and directories: Grep Command Here's what excluding directories look like in our example here: Exclude directories from grep recursive searchĪnd yes, as demonstrated by the example above, the exclusion works with both -r and -R recursive options. You can exclude more than one subdirectory from the recursive search in the following fashion: grep -r -exclude-dir= serach_term directory_path grep -r -exclude-dir=dir_name serach_term directory_path I told you, grep is an extremely versatile command. If you are not in the directory where you want to perform the recursive search, just provide the absolute or relative path of the directory to grep command: grep -r search_term path_to_directory Bonus tip: Exclude a certain directory from the recursive grep searchĮverything seems good but what if you want to exclude a certain directory from the recursive search? There is a provision for that too. Take a look at the output of the -R search in the same example: grep -R recursive search also searches in the linked filesĭid you notice that it gives an additional search result with the linked.txt which is basically a symbolic link and was omitted from the grep search with -r option? The -R is dereferenced search which means it will follow the symbolic links to go to the original file (which may be located in some other part of the system). So, what's the difference grep -r and grep -R? Only one, actually. There is also a -R option for recursive search and it works almost the same as the -r option. Here's the result: Recursive search with -r option of grep command Here's the recursive search I performed in the previous example to do a grep search in the current folder: grep -r simple. With this option, grep will look into all the files in the current (or specified) directory and it will also look into all the files of all the subdirectories. Grep provides a -r option for the recursive search. Grep recursive search in all subdirectories of a directory Now that you know that, let's see how you can perform a recursive search with grep so that it also looks into the files in the subdirectories. If you are not in the same directory where you want to perform, you can specify the directory path and end it with /* grep search_term directory_path/*īasically, you are using the wild card to expand on all the elements (files and directories) of the given directory. Search in all files of a directory with grep Since you cannot directly grep search on a directory, it will show "XYZ is a directory" error along with search results. This will search in all the files in the current directories, but it won't enter the subdirectories. The wild card actually substitutes with the name of all the files and directories in the current directory. To search for the word 'simple' in all the files of the current directories, just use wild card (*). Except empty.txt, all files contain the term 'simple' on which I'll perform the grep search. Here's the directory structure I am going to use in this example. Let me show you all this in details with proper examples so that it is easier for you to understand. You may also specify the directory path if you are not in the directory where you want to perform the search: grep -r search_term directory_path You can make grep search in all the files and all the subdirectories of the current directory using the -r recursive search option: grep -r search_term. It only searches in all the files in the current directory. If you want to search all the files in a directory with grep, use it like this: grep search_term * Usually, you run grep on a single file like this: grep search_term filename Grep is an excellent tool when you have to search on the content of a file. It’s not essential but it’s recommended you use acoustic tape to seal all the joins between the pieces of MLV.Use fasteners to seal up where the MLV meets the sides of the wall.Keep going until the whole wall is covered. You want it to be secure but remember every new hole is a weakness in the noise reduction properties You need to place a fastener at least every 12 inches. It is up to you what you use to fasten it. Once the vinyl is in place attach it to the studs. You’ll need someone to help you with this at you won’t be able to this alone. Place the first piece on MLV on the wall.Use a stud finder to locate the studs in your wall as this is what you need to attach the MLV and the new layer of drywall to.Remember, measure twice and cut once! MLV is thick so scissors will not work. You’ll also need to cut out gaps for any power sockets Do this carefully as you want it to fit exactly. ![]() Measure your wall and cut your MLV to size. This will reduce the size of the room so if the room you’re thinking about is small please bear this in mind before you start. You will still need to add a layer of drywall over the top as the MLV wouldn’t look great even if you painted it. It will take a bit more work but you can still install MLV to be just as effective. If you’re not in a position to do this, don’t worry. This will maximise its effectiveness as even closing small gaps can make a huge difference. As aesthetics wouldn’t be a factor, you can fasten it down very securely and use tape or sealant to fill in any gaps. If you want the best results, then you should fasten the MLV onto the studs under your existing wall. If you do it properly it will reduce engine noise as well as the noise of tires on the road and from other road users. Just ensure you make it big enough that the generator won’t overheat.Ĭar – If you love driving a powerful car but don’t enjoy feeling like your ears are bleeding when you accelerate then you can line the interior of your car with MLV. If you line the box with MLV you’ll notice a substantial reduction in the noise you can hear. Generator – If you have a generator either at home or work you’ll have noticed that they can be noisy. If you live in a part of the world where air conditioning is common you can wrap the ducts and/or pipes to reduce noise caused by clanking or movement. For example, if your washing machine is in or near your main living area you can wrap it in MLV to deaden the noise coming out into the room. Machinery – It can be used on noisy machinery to make it quieter. MLV doesn’t look great and comes in blank or grey but believe it or not you can paint it! If you do it carefully you can make a pretty feature out of it. You can paint it in an attractive colour and leave it as it is or lay a carpet on top of it.ĭoors and windows – While you can’t cover your windows with MLV (unless you really hate being able to see outside!) you can create curtains you can hang over windows and doors to block the noise that comes in. If your floor is already down you can attach MLV to the floor using spray adhesive. This will minimise both impact and airborne noise. Main areas are:įloors – If you’re remodeling you could add MLV to the floor or ceiling studs before the boards are laid. This makes it perfect for party walls, and anywhere to help prevent sound getting in or out. It’s fairly obvious but it’s used a lot as a soundproof layer to add to (mainly) walls. These are the main soundproofing features along with being fire resistant (but not fireproof) and completely safe to be placed in a home when properly installed. MLV bends and can be used to wrap around pipes or curves making it far more versatile. Many soundproofing materials are rigid and come in sheets or tiles which can make it more difficult to install in tight spaces or ones that are irregularly shaped. Most soundproofing materials either absorb or block but MLV does both which makes it doubly effective. The second is that it also absorbs sound. The thickness of the material blocks noise from passing through it mans into other rooms. The first is that is acts a sound barrier. There are three features of MLV that make it so perfect for soundproofing projects. ![]() Last update on at 20:44 / Images from Amazon Product Advertising API What Is MLV Used For and Why It’s Used For Soundproofing £29.99 Buy on Amazon Quiet Living may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. The original Crash is the toughest of any Crash game and they made a point to add in some assistance for people that struggle with it. It’s been a very long time since I played the original Crash Bandicoot, but upon playing it here, I began to have flashes of some of the frustration that I had as a kid in 1996. You’re given the ability to use Crash’s cousin Coco, in what they say is a time traveler option (which is a nice touch to make it work, storyline-wise). Not only are the games completely redone with all new graphics but they took the extra incentive to add some new features. I really have to give kudos to Activision and Vicarious Visions for the treatment they gave these classics. ![]() Sane Trilogy won’t give off any vibes of a 20+ year old game, and if you didn’t know any better you would think these were all new titles. Activision basically took the game’s engine and level designs and just built the game from there. Sane Trilogy includes completely redone versions of the first three Crash titles (Crash Bandicoot, Cortex Strikes Back and Warped). On top of all of that, Activision announced that this trilogy remaster wasn’t going to be just any old up-res or straight port, this was going to be a built from the ground up complete remaster, and they did not disappoint. I kid, while that did happen and it was a nice add on to what looks to be the last Skylanders game, they also announced at e3 2016 that they were working on remasters of the original Crash trilogy (aka the good Crash games).Īs your resident remaster reviewer and huge Crash Bandicoot fan, writing this review was a must for me. So like any huge success, Crash began to see sequel after sequel, with each game getting worse and worse and before you knew it… Crash Bandicoot games were no longer being produced. Crash began to rival Sonic and Mario, which up until that point had never been done and is a pretty remarkable feat. During the mid 90s, platformers were a dime a dozen (anyone remember Croc?), but among all the different choices, Crash stood out. Crash Bandicoot was my very first Playstation game in 1996 and the franchise holds a special place in my heart. 2017, the year of the platformer is running wild thus far, and we can’t have the year of the platformer without one of the greatest platform mascots of all time. ![]() In Java Edition, it behaves the same as typing in the chat bar when typing in a command block.
